This page describes the current HighGravityData publication email-interest flow through Buttondown. Sender-domain and tracking settings must be verified before live activation.
Information submitted directly
HighGravityData collects the email address a visitor voluntarily submits through the HighGravityData signup form.
Purpose
The address is used to send confirmation of the request and notifications when a Record, Brief, or publication goes up.
Provider processing
The email address is processed by Buttondown to administer confirmation, delivery, and unsubscribe functions.
Confirmation and unsubscribe
Confirmation by email is required before normal publication emails begin. Recipients may unsubscribe using the link included in each email.
Tracking
Open tracking, link tracking, cookies, and website analytics settings have not yet been verified for the production email-capture configuration. HighGravityData will not describe those practices as active until the provider configuration is verified.
Sharing and sale
HighGravityData uses service providers to process submitted addresses for the list functions described above. HighGravityData does not sell submitted email addresses. Information may be disclosed if required by law.
